I have a papaya in my stomach. What’s with the fruit references to measure baby growth?
My little blueberry has grown up so fast. At 24 weeks, I’ve got a papaya growing in my stomach.
Just another of those pregnancy things no one tells you about. Apparently, all the popular Web sites and baby books got together and decided that growing baby should be compared to fruit each week. First week I knew I was preggos, I had a blueberry in my belly.
This is especially confusing when two sites don’t agree. I remember one week little Cora was a cantaloupe and a large banana.
As for my growing papaya, biggest development at 24 weeks, scientists say baby can hear outside noises. Time to stop dropping the F bomb every five minutes.
I found this baby as fruit reference sheet from The Bump. Week 37: a watermelon, seriously?
