Only a month to go. Time to make a hospital bag checklist.

I can’t believe I’m a matter of days away from being 36 weeks pregnant. I’m feeling unprepared, excited, and scared all at once. Last night’s project: creating a packing list for the hospital bag.

My husband and I took a childbirth preparation class in September and one helpful hint I took away from the class was to have the husband pack the bag so he knows where everything is hence the list. Somethings we’ll throw in the bag now. Others will have to wait because we use them everyday.

I’m slightly embarrased to post because I think I went a little over board. I always under pack. On trips I never check luggage, but as a first time momma-to-be, I don’t want to be stuck 40 minutes away from home (I opted for a larger hospital in a larger city and will have to deal with the extra mileage) in labor without my favorite blanket and other possible relaxers.

Hospital bag packing list:

  • Dr. Seuss In utero book (we read it almost every night to Cora)
